He did a great cover of "Hocus Pocus" some years ago that got a lot of radio play--I saw him open for Satriani on that tour. He's pretty good, though I think he's more into surf music now.

The surf music perception may be because he recorded the soundtrack to "The Endless Summer II" which was a surf movie. But he does a lot more rock-type of stuff. He does some really interesting cover tunes. His cover of "Money" is awesome. I've seen him live, not only in clubs, but at NAMM (he performed the next day in the Fender room after the above picture was taken) and the guy can kick major ass!

Kev, how short is your wife?!? I know Pat's not that tall, and comparing the two pics, I'd say she's quite wee.

That aside, Gary Hoey is a great player. As I mentioned before. He's actually the reason I got interested in Hamer guitars years ago. I loved the Studio he was pictured with on the inside cover of Animal Instinct.
