My new band

[Boxcar Willie 84]

On Friday I had my first show with my new band at Tremont Music Hall here in Charlotte. They've been together for a little over a year, but I just joined about 3 weeks ago or so. It was a blast, I couldn't have asked for a better first show. Here's some photos, I'm the one in the brown pants...

SWEET!!! Glad to here you got something going on Box. Looking for a band here in Columbus myself.....just need to come up with the coin to get an amp head......and an assortment of things.......oh yeah......probably should by myself some lessons too.

Gigs are fun. I always hate it when I go audition for a band and they say " we are just doing this for fun....we don't plan on doing gigs." Whats the whole point of having a band?? If I didn't care about not playing out...I would have just stayed home. Enough about me.

I can't tell in the pics... what amp and effects did you use and how did it sound? I am always curious about that.

Thanks guys! JG I use a pretty straightforward setup-I plug my guitar into my Boss TU2, then into an E-H Small Stone, then into an Ibanez CS9 chorus, then into a Line 6 DL4, then into the amp. I used my Dual Rec and a Mesa Standard 4x12 Rectifier cabinet, and my Heritage H150. The other two guys use SG Specials into Crate Blue Voodoos with B52 cabinets-their sounds are a little brighter, so the lower sound that the Mesa gets sits real well in the mix.
