    Thought i would post a thread about the first riffs and complete songs everyone learned at when they first started playing.Hope this hasnt been posted yet.
    My first Riffs/intros were:
    1.Number of the beast
    2.Rock You Like a Hurricane
    3.Paranoid
    4.Stairway to Heaven
    5.Iron man

    1St complete songs were:
    1.DRI-Suit and tie guy
    2.Slayer-Dead Skin Mask
    3.Metallica-Fade to black
    4.Metallica-Leper Messiah
    5.Death-Spiritual healing

    Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

            I clearly remember the very first riff/intro I learned - Limelight.

            Some others during the first few months:
            Black Dog
            Stairway
            The Trees
            Broon's Bane (I picked up fingerpicking pretty quickly)

            Like some others, I didn't learn a complete song until I was in a band and it was Tom Sawyer.

                    Oh, I played in a "band" for a while...we never actually had a gig though and we played all originals...except Zep's "Ten Years Gone", so I guess at some point I knew that whole song.
