Re: Go Yanks

Fuck the Yankees. I hate them.

Go Orioles.

p.s. I don't really follow baseball, but I really hate the Yankees.
Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

They won't let me wear my yankee's suck shirt at Safeco Feild. It's not "family oppropiate"

Re: Go Yanks

"but the yankees really should be playing a million times better than they are"
A million times better?!? try 200 millions times better. It is painful to watch them. I do not believe they can beat, on a seven games series, Burguer King store #786 right now.

See, they deviated from the early nineties philosophy; draft smart and build from within. i.e. D. Jeter, B. Williams, M. Rivera, A. Pettite, M. Mendoza, J. Posada etc. and then sprinkle some outside talent for good measure.

Life and sports are a cycle, you run the course and then replenish. It is VERY hard to stay on the top for a decade and so on. Team chemistry is a difficult thing and bringing all these guys together is risky at best. Not to mention damaged goods ala K. Brown, J. Wright and R. Johnson.

If I was George and Cashman, I would take a knee and punt. In three years they would be back at it.
Then again it is easy for me to say since I do not have to face investors and the NY media.

Now sully, what is up with that pic? I do not see a T-shirt anywhere in there.

Re: Go Yanks

i'm gonna puke right now.
who wants to bet me that the yankees catch the sox? this show is far from over, anyone? you have what a 7 game lead in late late june. let's go who's up for it?
no way we continue on this path, if we do i'm going to fukkin' legends field next march and tryout my fukkin' self.
the sox have been hitting, and for the most part pitching o.k., but i think their hitting is bailing them out more often than not.
sully,
who told you the orioles would fold. they are toast.

We need to get Big Ben off that cycle so he doesn't follow K. Winslow's path.

Re: Go Yanks

I understand what your saying dude, but the difference between last years sox and this years yanks is soul. Yanks have none, nothing, nada. The years of those great yankees teams of the 90s is LONG gone. I do not see any of that with these guys. There is so much going on behind closed doors that the guys can't just play baseball anymore. They have to worry about Steinbrenner shitcanning their asses. George was responsible for making them the team they once were and he'll be the same guy that drives em into the ground....

i appreciate your enjoyment in our recent floundering superfly, but let's see what unfolds. i still have alot of confidence in my team, my right hand right now proves it-lol
man was i pissed off. at least my thumb and index are the only ones not bandaged up, i can play just fine still.

you're right too about heart, and that's why someone besides jeter has to stand up and take some of the reigns and whip 'em into shape.
