let's face it, the yankees look like they're on angel dust right now, it will wear off, remember '78, and remember last year. end of story. giambi 's game winner was nothing short of a mracle, we;re gushing blood in many areas, the bleeding will eventually stop. i think we've left more runners on base than any other team this year. if start to hit with runners in scoring position, we'll just sit back and watch it become a race again.

well so far this season, the sox certainly have been much better than the yankees, and are playing much better. granted, it seems like over the past few days, the media has now jumped on the "orioles are done" bandwagon, and thankfully the espn announcers seemed to have stopped swinging on the yankees' nuts at every opportunity.

it's a long season, but we've made a good sized dent in it at this time. i'm not ruling anyone out, but the yankees really should be playing a million times better than they are, and the fans should be pissed off. seems like george is only interested in buying seasoned all stars (hey, if you can, why not?), but this season is blinding proof that money will not buy you a championship. steinbrenner is throwing money at problems, and is shocked that it's not working? oh, how i do love seeing them play so poorly. i keep thinking in the back of my head that eventually they're going to snap out of it, but until that time comes (if it does), i'm enjoying the shit out of this season.

while it took the sox 86 years to get a ring, the yankees haven't got a ring since their payroll exceeded 100 mil. interesting!
