Isn't that what a captain does though? Or is your point that Jeter has no heart, because i think there are not too many people on that team that hates losing more than him. Except maybe Slappy... Every team he has ever been on has struggled... Look at the Mariners.The year after he left they won like 116 games or some shit. Then last year after he leaves the Rangers, they made a serious run. Got me friggin scared for that Wild Card spot. Now he's with the Yanks and, well you know the rest...
I'm more than happy to see how this plays out but there needs to be some changes for the Yanks to turn it around.

no jeter has always owned this team from '96 -on, i just would like to see some others step up and help him. lose? jeter hates losing more than i do. i want him to rub off on more people. i don't know, maybe it's an off year, they do happen. naaaaaahhhhhhh, fukk that, we're coming back no matter what.

It's been an unfortunate streak of Yankees leaving guys on base. Odds are that won't continue. It has, up til now, but don't bet on it continuing. If the lead is only 6.5 or 7 games, that ain't sh*t, for anybody. We found that out last year.

Paul O'Neil was the ultimate gamer, his loss has been greatly felt. I think guys were afraid of facing him in the locker room. A. Pettite was another gamer, you cold always count on him, after a loss, to pick the team up. They do not have anyone right now that can do the same.

Jeter cannot do it alone.
Right now I am watching the Yanks-Orioles game and it is pathetic, Pavano gets two outs; allows a single, balks to move the runner up to second and then allows a single to Chris F***ing Gomez.
Unless something major happens, and soon, they are looking at fourth in the division.

I just think its hilarious that everybody paints the Bosox as underdogs...Their payroll is only a notch less than the Yankees. As a Yanks fan, I gotta say, I'm really disappointed in them, cuz they suck mcNuts right now. Hopefully they'll come out of the slump...It just sucks when they lose to teams like the Tigers.
