Ah yeah, They were talking about them most likely being booted on ESPN last night. They can ship off Gordon too as far as I'm concerned. All this talk about getting another bat over the past week just doesn't make sense to me. They needs arms badly, reliable arms.

Of course I won't be happy unless Gordon is playing alongside Boone, or anybody else for that matter. As long as it's not on the Yankees.

Yanks looking at a couple of kids out of Columbus. Yanks starting to pull from farm system, first Cano, Russ Johnson, k.Reese and Wang. Could be the answer?

Yeah except for the fact they they don't have any talent in the farm system. Why do you think they can't get the trades they want? I guess when all hope is almost lost you have to look to the last though. Might as well let them walk because nobody was going to trade for those two overpaid relief guys anyhow.

Soloist, how do you know they don't have any talent on the farm system? are you a professional baseball scout?

FYI, Chien-Ming Wang and Robinson Cano came up both from the farm earlier this season and from where I am looking at they are holding their own rather well.

Believe it or not there are Yankee hater sports reporters (insert Peter Gammons here) out there. They will say anything.

Easy I watch the games. MLB extra innings. Not Sox games only either. Cano is alright. Your not going to get much for him. And he sure as hell isn't going to pull the Yankees to first place single handedly. Same for Wang. Your entitled to your opinion however. I just see desperation setting in where Steinbrenner is concerned.

i hope bubba crosby gets some playing time. he can cover some gound in centerfield, and let bernie sit and dh.
keep tino at 1st, and let giambi dh as well. sticky situations everywhere, but that's when the yanks have won a lot of times when the bronx zoo is in full regalia.
my midseason m.v.p. so far is -Tejada-SS-Orioles(i think)or BIG PAPI -sox. that is a gay name for such a great player.
whitesox clearly have the best pitching staff, the sox have the best lineup, followed by baltimore,texas,and n.y.
national league m.v.p. is Lee on the cubs. gonna be an interesting second half, i can't wait for homerun derby. my first withdrawals started this morning.

i was there. not at the 1 game playoff, but at every playoff and world series game from'76,'77,'78, '81.
bucky played great against the dodgers as well. i got to cut school for the 1 game playoff. that was a tense game. remember that ball hit to right field and pineilla stuck his hand out and kept it from rolling to the corner and the wall? after bucky's homer, that and reggie's homer saved the game.
