Not at all what I was expecting, I expecting them to continue progressing towards a more early Green Carnation sound, but this sounds more like some of their earlier material. More Blackwater Park maybe than Still Life, but still I like it. Green Carnation is freaking amazing if you ask me, though the last 2 cds are just not my thing. Good but not my thing. Journey to the End of Night and Light of Day, Day of Darkness were amazing though. Alot of good heavy cds coming in the next few months. Nevermore and Opeth particularly I am waiting anxiously for.

Oh and forgive me if my memory sucks, but I seem to recall an Annah from my early days at the JCF that built some incredible guitars, is that you and if so are you still doing it?

It's good...but I couldn't sit through the entire song. I have to be in an "Opeth kinda mood" and most here that dig Opeth totally understands this phenomenon. It usually involves copious amounts of weedies!

I dig the direction they are going in though....updated their sound a little too! Mikael is at the top of his game!

Not true in my case. Never used any drugs, use alcohol sparingly and I can listen to multiple Opeth albums back to back. Because they are that good. [img]/images/graemlins/notworthy.gif[/img]

Yes Chris, that was me! I have made some guitars in the past and hope to do so again in the future but it's not easy to do in a tiny 3rd floor apartment, so I'm holding off until I get a house. Wouldn't have enough time to do that right now anyway though, what with the release of my band's first album (mid-July) and all the new writing we're doing. No, no, no, no, no. Opeth IS a drug! Their music is better than any chemical enhancements! Personally, I listen to them almost every day and never grow tired of them. They cover it all and then some!
