Re: Bringing dogs back to life after 3 hours of de

Very good points Solo... What sully and I and others have stated though this is assuming that there are no major effects. If there is total memory loss or major memory loss to me it is in a grey area.

Yeah, I think it is time to move these experiments up to critters that have superior cognitive abilities to dogs. Time to bring on the monkeys.

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

True that Tetsuo. Also how are they going to be able to get this done in a timely fashion so the brain gets put into a state where no damage would occur for however long? It's a concept that's for sure. Just to many question marks. I see the biggest problem having to do with actually doing this quick enough to work. If the brain is chilled quick enough the theory definitely has potential. Some of those drowning cases proved that. I think 3 hours is a serious stretch though. At that point you just might end up with zombies. But I would think pumping all of someone's blood out and then replacing it with the solution is going to take to long to save someone.

Kerry (my gf)...just clued me in that the solution they use to keep the organs and heart alive, was developed by a veternary doctor by the name of Dr. Jonathan Hunt...who also happens to be a resident vet surgeon at the Emergency hospital she runs. I thought that was pretty wild...I've met the guy too!

And he's from Australia, which makes sense because this story is based out of Oz.

speaking from experience, you don't know. what's it like when you sleep and don't dream? you don't know. granted, i wasn't out for 3-4 hours, but there was no light or floating or all my dead relatives reaching out to me.

Maybe you weren't dead long enough Sully?

I've been reading a bunch of NDE's with an open mind, some pretty interesting stuff to say the least.

Well Ken I guess your in charge of investigating this further then. Have they used this on people's pets where the pet actually knows and interacts normally with the owner? Get the scoop bro.

Well, at this point, I keep thinking, what about the other complications from this? The black n white of this has been focused on the saving life practical benefits vs the wrongs of it, including the dogs-which I feel for.

So, are you saying they're going to wait until you are dead before draining the oil out of you when you have a fatal wound that you will die of? The insurance companies and the lawyers would have a field day with this.

..and yes, I believe animals can love, especially domesticated ones.

Being objective though one must realize how truly fragile the human mind is and some of the NDE's and the things they see can be created by the mind in order to deal with the trauma. That is a whole different study though
