Well, it's not and as long as people are being civil, I think threads like that should remain open. You know, there's two sides to every story and I'm yet to see "side one." Yet something took place to a long term member and personally, I'd like to know what went haywire.

You already are pissed at me but trust me I am civil. Do I want to know what went on? Yeah. Do I question the mods? Well no and not because I am a kiss ass but I actually know a lot of these guys (not Brett and Ralph) but I live in the same town as Jeremy and chat with him regularly. Tekky and I are close and even make plans togehter but never meet up. I chat with Sully and Kev too. I tend to defend Mods in general though because I have modded on other boards (and this board is pretty damn good) and it is the most thankless job. If they banned Brett I trust them not thinking that they are infalable by any means. As far as Brett burning bridges? Another member (very outspoken) was suspended from the boards he is back. He said some way bad sheet whhen banned/suspended but he did contact the mods and all was smoothed over. My gut feeling (I don't know) is the Mods are more than open for dialog with Brett.

It is speculation but I know how they have handled other cases and yeah some favortism (human nature) may be shown.

In the classified thread I wasn't trying to mod or be a wannabe I was just trying to diffuse something so the subject at hand was returned too. I have no clue if you have ever modded a board or not but let me tell you it is no good job... more thankless than an executioner [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Anyway

Let me first say that I'm not pissed at you or anyone else. I lose no sleep over this board or anything said by its members. Like you, I have several really good, close friends and I figure as adults, they can fight their own battles. If they want a situation diffused, let them step up to the plate.

Second, I have absolutely no beef with the JCF admins. Trust me, if I do decide to air a grievance, they'll be the first to know. I don't agree with all their decisions, but all in all, it's a pretty smooth running site.

Finally, I've administrated at a site with 7,000 plus members. Most were good folks, some were immature troublemakers. Is it a thankless job? No, because it's not a job. It's a hobby. It's something to do rather than watch reruns of The Jeffersons. It's something you can walk away from at any time.

I remember when I first dove into the Internet and I was amazed at how many people beat their chest and proclaimed what a hard job admining a website truly was. Boy, was I ever shocked to find out the truth. If it's a tough job, drive to Louisiana and let me put you to work earning a real living. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

So, I hope we're cool and all is clear. I only get mad when I run out of Jim Beam and beef jerky.

Jim Beam is a top priority for me. I knew we were good I just want to state my side. That being said ignore everything I say from now on for a while a Divorce os brewing so I am likely to lash out at faceless nameless folks lol.
