It was netted. You would need 1000lb test wire to "hook" that monster.

I would have preferred it it if was a trout or bass in the USA. Cat Fish are rather lame in the ring, no fight. A few years ago I was fishing in Big Elk Lake in NY State and there was no action.. I went deep and hooked a ugly mother cat fish that when I pulled it into the row boat it started making croaking noises and it freaked me out.
