That's pretty damned neat. Maybe a little too neat...
On my floor to my left are 4 power cubes & a yarn-ball of usb cables & I can't even remember wtf any of them go to.

      You chumps are messy!

That's probably the messiest mine gets. However, it gets dusty rather quick, and I don't know why. I suppose it has something to do with the computer and the lack of air circulation in the room.

Mine is clean 75% of the time.Mostly beer bottles, cracker wrappers, pics, junk mail and magazines.I spend about 75% of the time im home on the computer. Its my shrine dedicated to music and porn...i also see a suspicious jar of lube,i mean petro jelly on the upper right on the dresser/cabinet in this pic. Hummmmm....HA!UP THE IRONS!!!

Yeah, that's a jar of white petroleum jelly there. Don't get any funny ideas... I used to apply it on my lips during the dry season before going to bed. Now I have this medicated lip balm that works wonders, so no more Vaseline needed.

Why were you looking at my pic that closely anyways?

stop ruining all the good guitars with your big goofy belt buckles
I am sorry but those big goofy belt buckles are not going to help you get laid and just ruin nice guitars, sorry had to go on this rant because I am bored and was just looking at my Les Paul Custom and the extent of belt buckle rash on the back of it and how my other guitars dont really have it.

            Sorry Rant over

Oh, it's from belt buckles! I though it was from pointy pee-pees. I understand now.

Don't praise my setup too much. There are days when I've sat my ass down on that $600 ergonomic chair in front of that custom computer workstation for over 14 hours doing nothing except looking at online porn, surfing the various message boards, and reading as much as I can about anything and everything that catches my attention! The least I can do is keep that little area clean.

$200 footrest? $600 chair?! You guys are mad. I'm using my old high school study desk (worth about $70 new!) and a dining chair.

$200 is insane. But the chair really was $600 Canadian after tax! It was SOOOOOO friggin' worth it. I haven't had back pains since I bought it. That, and a little more knowledge of basic yoga exercises to prevent repetitive stress disorder (carpal tunnel syndrome, I guess it's known as) has made it really enjoyable to sit in front of the computer. Sounds like I need a life.

The footrest was the cheapest footrest I could find at the office supply store... it was the $30 one I think. Before, I was using a little step-stool as seen in the following picture.

Most people here take pride in their massive guitar collection, or huge amp/rack setup worthy of commanding the space shuttle... I've got my workstation that I worked hard to put together bit by bit.

Re: You Big Dorks W/ Big Belt Buckles

I love how everybody' screen has the JCF on it!

Footrest, hmmm... That sounds quite nice. Our aparment is so fuckin' crammed. Three guys live here. It's got a living room, small kitchen, one bathroom, and two bedrooms. It's crammed. Me and a friend share a room. It's insanley crowded. To compromise room so that I could fit the music shit in here, all of my good stuff is out in the living room for everybody else to enjoy (TV, stereo, other entertainment shit, etc.). Oh, I also ditched my bed, and sleep in the recliner in the living room. At least there's room for my guitars and my equipment!

I will have a big house someday. Space will never be a problem, ever. I've done enough of this bullshit. Before I moved out I was living in a house with four brothers and one sister. That sucked.

Keep in mind we never used to live like this. I read your thread you posted about your situation... I know of one kid who had to get away from his family due to similar problems and moved in with friends of my family. So, I'm just trying to say here that I'm not trying to seem like I'm bragging or anything. When we moved to Canada from England, we lived crowded in my uncle's old house while my dad tried to get a job. A few years later, after we scraped up enough to buy our own home, we had to completely support our cousins' college/university education and it was EXPENSIVE because they were overseas students and not residents of Canada, and my dad was the only income earning person in the house. He didn't even earn that much back then, and had to work three jobs. In those years, we didn't have a lot of what we have now, including the peace and quiet we now enjoy.

I'm taking all my stuff with me when I move out, considering I paid for it all myself with the money I make during the summer months, and I do have the option of moving out any time I want, but my parents actually encourage me to stay home at least one more year until I finish my university education and establish myself in the working world. This idea goes back to our money-wise days.

I know my situation is NOTHING like yours but I do empathize with you since I did come from very humble beginnings and my parents always instilled in me a strong work ethic and discipline to overcome anything that stands in our way.

It just sucks that you're still a minor, kiddo... I don't know the laws and stuff in Idaho or America so I wish you the best in your situation, and if you were situated here, we'd take you in like our friends took in that kid I talked about in my first paragraph.

A clean desk is a sign of an empty mind

Bill - If you think I'm the wrong person to have that belt, you shoulda seen the loser I got it from - it came attached to a pair of leather pants that some chick talked him into buying, and they're not his size, the were HER size, but he wore 'em anyway
I bought the belt from him for $30, and he paid $150 for the whole thing

What's really cool about it is that it has a slot in the top of the skull to hold a Zippo

'Course I'm too fat to wear it, but that'll change - someday
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
