• PayPal debit card?

Anyone else here get one and not apply for it? I got one today, and did not apply for one, and I am pissed off, needless to say.
If this was another attack on my account, someone's gonna cough up a legitimate name and address to me directly or their kids are gonna be slaughtered as punishment for them aiding and abetting.
I'm sick of this horseshit. Someone's gotta die to let these fucks know that fucking up someone else's money can get you killed.

Re: PayPal debit card?

I'm sure you can cancel it if you want, but it IS rather convenient if you don't want to wait for your money and are willing to pay $3.00. You can go to any ATM for cash or use it like any other debit card for free.

I understand it's aggravating that you didn't apply, but they sent it to you, it's free if you don't use it and the only time a fee applies is if you actually use it to get cash. Not the end of the world...

Newc is handling this much too calmly. I think I might be a little agitated in this situation.

I think they are great as well. If you have a Premier account you get back 1.5 % of all purchases. It makes up for some of my fees for taking Paypal in all my auctions. I use it all the time. Just in my gas purchases alone i make a killing on the 1.5

Re: PayPal debit card?

I've already got a bank-issued debit card, and a Chase Manhattan card, so the PayPal is not only redundant, but quite useless. My big beef is that I didn't apply for it but received it anyway.
The reason that sets me off is because I just got everything straightened out from that ID theft issue I had about a month or so ago and I had a Fraud Alert attached to my credit info with Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax, and one of the side effects of doing that is they take your name off the spam lists for some period of time (not sure if it's 30 or 60 days).
I'll hafta check, but I think there's a fine involved for sending me CC offers and such during that time.

If I got this card because my info was hijacked again, and more than one card was cut but the others were sent to different addresses (i.e. someone claiming to be a relative/family member/wife/child/etc) then PayPal is gonna give me as much personal info of the terrorists as they have on record, or they'll serve as the example instead, and it won't be a lawsuit. It'll be messy.

Newc, how do you react when the cashier gets a price wrong down at the Piggly Wiggly?
