Quran has been interpreted by countless people since it was accumulated into a book more than a millenia ago and there was never organized prosecution of that (in fact it is a whole part of Muslim science), unlike your Inquisition.

I think the difference that matters most is that Christians aren't out there killing people in the name of God or asking for holy wars against all muslims.

I agree with Sully that we ought not bring race, religion or politics into this. You can look at it from any angle but the jest of it these people have fucked up way of thinking. They should be held accountable and pay for their actions, regardless of religion, nationality and race. Not all terrorists are radical Muslims, not all radical Muslims are Arab, not all Arab Muslims are terrorists. Having said that I don't give a fuck who they are, where they are from or if they believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny or not, they are fucked up and should pay the price for their actions...

Neither does the "Muslim" label do a good job in identifying your enemy when your foaming at the mouth looking for revenge.

I'm actually kinda curious as to how Britian will react militarilly (for they will, have no doubt in that).

Now, as I've said before, it is personal for Britain....and the British people are no stranger to warfare, and they have a very nicely equipped and trained Military (their Marines are BAD ASS!!).

I think that the collective push to erradicate or at least cripple the "enemy" will be stepped up quite a bit in the near future.

I can honestly see a draft of sorts coming for the US also. The numbers of service-people leaving/retiring and the problems they're having with recruitment are taking a toll on the operating forces.

Race I agree with 100% but terrorism is, by definition, political in nature so there's no avoiding that and when the act is claimed by a religious terrorist organization there's largely no avoiding that either. To discuss this sort of event while sweeping those factors under the rug is to not discuss the event at all.
