    Heh.. Alexi's actually one cool dude. His attitude is just his stage persona. That entire band is really down to earth. I spent about 4 to 5 hours drinking and hanging out with them.

      I must say I like Alexi's playing and I think he is a terrific showman...but after the show he was really a complete dick head..I got pics with me and him together from the night..and Roope was bombed he couldn't
      even stand up by himself...I couldn't even attempt talk to him...I went up to him to shake his hand and say ...you kick ass dude...and he looked at me and hadn't a clue where , or who he was ...he was lost...completely lost...falling down...completely baked!!!

            hmm... here's a few I like a lot (not sure if you'd consider them all metal or not):

            Sabbath, Priest, Maiden, Pantera, Anthrax, Annhilator, Queensryche, Blue Murder, AC/DC, Type O Negative, Tool, etc.
            I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

              Alexi's actually kind of a loner. He kind of did his own thing until he went to sit down with us and the rest of the band, and one of their buddies (soundguy I think?) knocked over a full drink into his lap and I kept passing him napkins and stuff. He then talked to me after that about a bunch of stuff.

              Roope when he was out here was blasted. He was switching between Finnish and English and mumbling about ghosts and other things (we were in a bar taking pictures and there were wacky colors on the photos). Later I was doing some Immortal vocals and he was all headbanging along and acting like he was playing guitar... Then he listened to my band's CD and was head banging, funny stuff.

              I was actually surprised with how friendly Janne was, because I'd heard a lot of really bad things about him. He talked to me about the Warmen albums and asked me a bunch of questions about my favorite songs and stuff like that. He then told me about the new Warmen album that was "in the writing stages" and he said that I'd probably like it because it was similar to the songs that I said I enjoyed.

              Didn't see too much of Jaska because he was hanging out with a chick, but when I talked to him he was very cool.

              Henkka was really quiet, and then he started asking questions about Seattle, the weather, and talking about Finland. The entire band seemed to be looking forward to going home and relaxing / seeing their friends again.

                Tim Tim...I am am going to a compile a list of music just for you man...just about four bands or so for you to check out...I want to pick the best stuff I could think of that I know you will like..

                  He seems fine, but someone needs to tell him to ease up on the eyeliner and to stop spitting all over the damn stage. Thats is just disturbing.

                  I mentioned some of my favorites earlier but for a more precise top 5.

                  Pain of Salvation
                  Orphaned Land
                  Therion
                  Nevermore
                  Iced Earth

                  I also like Dream Theater alot but Labrie's vocals are not even close to what they used to be (at one point the dude could really wail though, check out the live version of Killing Hand from Live at the Marquee, awesome).

                  I don't really have favorite players but if I had to pick one, John Petrucci. Though I think lately he's been doing way to much wanking. The musician I most respect is Daniel Gildenlow though. Amazing singer, awesome guitarist and he writes the most amazing lyrics.

                          Here's some obscure metal stuff that I like, Bill.

                          Hallow's Eve, Omen, Warfare, Tank, Trouble(1st & 2nd album), Kreator and I LOVE Venom. These are probably laughable to you, but I dug the hell out of these bands in high school and a few I still do today.

                            I got all of it..and still listen to it alot..Jimmy I got two bands off the top of my head...hell more...HEATHEN , RAZOR , X WILD , CITIES , MALICE , SWORD , JACKAL ...and countless others...and what's cool is that most of this stuff is all re-issued now ..and cheap too!

                              Razor and Malice I am familiar with. The Malice guy sounded like Halford, at times. I really liked their first album. A friend of my father was the manager and producer of Razor's first album. I always thought "Evil Invaders" was a cool tune.

                              Oops, I missed Sword - they were good too. I had the first album(self titled) and Metalized.

                                Yeah...I just got the re-issued "License to kill" cd...Malice was kick ass..
