one thing that drives me nuts is that most of the guys that call games can't shut up sometimes, or that they're clearly biased towards a team that they're calling. i can understand a local broadcast doing that (the rangers guys always do this) to a certain extent, but it really makes you appreciate those that don't do that shit. when the sox were playing atlanta in atlanta, the guys calling the game on tbs were great. they shut up and watch the game, and even compliment the opposing team.

anyway, yeah, most of the guys on espn that call baseball need to understand that the broadcast is about the game, not about them. drives me nuts.

I really can't stand any commentators except for Pat Foley and Dale Tallon who called the Blackhawks games. (when there's hockey) While they're biased, they don't pull punches... I remember one game where Dale said about Alexi Zhamnov (during a game): "If you're not going to score, the least you can do is play defense!"

Can't shut up, think he is genius and if you quiz him, I'll bet you he will say he invented the game of baseball.
Clearly racially biased as well.
Rather turn off the sound when I am watching Sunday Night baseball.

I can't stand any of the announcers. I don't think I've watched an entire baseball game with sound in years. Usually I just turn on the closed captioning around inning 2-3, and add my own soundtrack.
