I don't think it was so much Mariano, as it was Gordon, who started the rally. I can't stand Gordon. I put all my voodoo sh*t on the TV, said Hail Marys, did my superstitious dance, when Gordon came in there..................still didn't work. Manny crushed that one off of him. Thank god for Cora's double play ground ball, even though he was safe, but that umpire at first base, did the same thing to us back in the 2nd or 3rd inning. It just happened at a worse time for you guys.

Don it's a Pentax istD 6.3 megapixel digital SLR. That's the wifes toy. It takes some great pics.

I don't think they could do any better than that!!
Mo is back, gave them 5 outs on the ninth and the best they could do was get one run in.
Anyway, I am not going to gloat a lot of baseball ahead still.
I have to say it was nice to get out of beantown with 3 out of 4. With the pitching staff they way it was, I thought a split would have been phenomenal.
Aside from Fridays game, the series was good and competitive the way it should be everytime these two teams play each other.

That thing takes great shots. My wife is getting ready to go out and buy a new one. She has a specific model in mind. I don't know off hand, but I'll ask her.


.........I asked, and she said it was a top of the line Minolta. Don't know the model off-hand, but it has one of them pods that link directly to USB.

i am a soothsayer. scheff almost put a hole into the green monster. i think he should have caught that ball, but he did his job at the plate. more than his job. there were some towering homeruns this series. i called the leiter deal wat back on pge3 of this thread. i really thought it would be a split but once we signed al, i knew we had a shot at 3. he's got mileage on him that's for sure, but he's a grinder and is exactly what we needed. brown has to give me 6 plus good innings tonite before i can annoint this team a contender.

Good call Tommy. Kevin sucked last night, but nothing I haven't seen before [img]/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img]. Whose this guy Proctor,.....he sucks too. Yanks gave up a big lead, but came back and won it in the 8th, no thanks to anyone who pitched up to the 7th inning.

I think we brought up Proctor, not sure though. He surely does suck, can't recall him having a good outing. Pete Gammons is talking about us needing another bat (center field) yet again last night.

There is a burp in the Rocy Mountain News this morning about bad blood between Schill and Damon going back to the ALCS when Schill's wife kitted some "destiny scarves" and Damon's wife wouldn't wear it. Shill's wife says "Maybe your husband wouldn't be 0-16 if you had worn it." The paper says it turned into a real nasty cat fight. That true? First I've heard of it.

Proctor might be a short timer.
Franky Rodriguez is coming out of the DL (this week) and I heard that Mariano Mendoza is very near returning to the staff as well.

If those two guys come back at full srength, what a scary bullpen that might be. Rodriguez, Mendoza, Sturtze, Gordon and The Sandman.

We'll see.
