I am going to look at a 1991 Suburban tommorow with a 350, but with 165,000 miles on it, but he is asking $3800. I do pull a 6000 pound Camper with alot of Tongue weight, so it will be easier than with my Dakota. I know the gas will be expensive, but my Dakota(3:90 rear end) only gets 16 miles to the gallon, and that is on the highway. Jack.

My parants had a 91 suburban with a 350 and a 96 with a 454 both 3/4 ton 4x4s each got 14 to 16 mi per gallon, I liked the 96 better just for styling and low end torqe for towing

Put a decent exhaust system on the 454 and it'll be a HUGE difference! The exhaust systems that come factory on those things just chokes the shit out of them....
