Oh, but that had to be a unpleasant way to go. Glad he had the ability to change so many peoples lives with a show. Star Trek reruns were something I looked forward to when I was a kid.
"but I can't change the laws of physics Captain, I got to have 30 minutes" was a fav quote on the road for some time.
"Mr. Scott, your fired" was always applicable to the soundman as well.
