Anybody here own one? I have a serious case of G.A.S for one since they came out in the 90's. I have only seen a few of them in person and I have never driven or road in one. Opinions?

I test drove a 98, Awsome car for what they are. they were Winning their class in SCCA back then with it. They are stripper car's though. No heat, radio, AC, EXC.

I want one. My garage will soon be empty once my son gets his license and we can get his car out of it. I currently drive a 2001 Nissan Sentra SE 2.0. Its pretty loaded, 16's, 4 wheel disc out of an Altima, exhaust out of a Maxima, good suspension, twin cam, etc... its a pretty quick and handles good but I prefer my wifes 2000 Plymouth Neon LX because it seems more predictable under extreme driving to me. I just have a thing about Neons. I smile everytime I see one. Especially the late 90's body style. I need to find an ACR to tuck away in my garage to work on and occassionaly take up to Limerock to thrash.Comment

My Girlfreind at the time these came out, test drove one of these and an RT, she took the RT since it had full power options, sun roof exc.

They're perfect for their class in SCCA though. plus a Dodge is a hell've alot cooler than a civic.

I'll tell you what Bill, take your Cobra and pit it against a 4 banger chick car Neon ACR in a closed road course and or road rally course and possibly even a track like Limerock and prepare to get a severe thrashing. I hate to piss on your Cobra but I could take a stock Dodge SRT 4 (Neon) and not only thrash you light to light but when we get to the twisty's the only thing you will be seeing is my tail lights. You will of course look much cooler and be cooler in one of the most awesome cars ever made. Just hope that an Evo 8 or a WRX STI doesn't pull along side of you. They both do a very good job as snake charmers especially considering you could buy 3 of them for the price of 1 kit Cobra. Your talking old technology bro. Its cool but its old. How does the kit compare to the real thing. The real Cobra will do 0 - 100 - 0 in 13 seconds. There is no Neon on the planet that will even come close to that..................Comment
