    I'm not sure how long this post will last, but here's an article that describes the terrorist attack in Egypt that killed 64 people. I guess since they're in the Middle East who cares, right?

    Anyway, I offer it to support my OPINION (apparently, pretty unpopular here) that the war on terror is NOT a war on Islam, but against a bunch of nut jobs. The article does not absolve Muslims...in fact it suggests that mainstream Muslims are in denial. Anyway, I found this quote pretty interesting...

Muslims can't believe these are Muslim acts," said Mark Juergensmeyer, director of global and international studies at UC Santa Barbara.

    "And it's true -- it's not their kind of Islam that's involved. But that's part of the point, that the attack was made against moderate Islam as much as against the West. Their war is within Islam as much as it is against us."

    I just watched Team America...we need them!

    Wasn't McVeigh just one of those fucked up ...ahhhh what's the word I'm lookin' for..he was anti -government..

    he got all fucked up reading The Turner Diaries...he did what they did in that story almost to a T..

      I've never read the Koran (Quaran?)(sp?) nor do I have any interest to...but I highly doubt that it speaks of this much hatred, and killing in the name of the Islam religion (or a Jihad). These guys are just fuckin' nuts! You know the saying..."They eat their own"

          This one was too close to home. My brother in law is vacationing in that resort area but was tucked safely in his bed when this happened. He was awakened by the blast and immediately ran to give assistance to whomever he could. He's an emergency room RN, so he was on autopilot once he realized what was going on. He said after a while the true horror of what had happened hit and it scared the crap out of him. He also said this will not be his last trip to Egypt, although my sister has a differing opinion regarding that.

          This terrorism shit is getting old, isn't it?

              this "war" could and may go on for decades...if not longer!
