Bettman needs to go as well imho. Not only do the rule changes suck, the schedule sucks too. If they were going for better interdivisional rivalries they should have realigned the conferences and the divisions. I'd be pretty pissed if I were a Red Wing season ticket holder. The Wings don't play Toronto, Boston or Montreal next season. Oh' yeah...I'd much rather see Columbus, Nashville and Chicago a million times during the season than Boston, Montreal and Toronto. The whole thing along with the stoopid rule changes makes me just say WTF were they thinking.

I read this was gonna happen last year.Also,alot of crosby fans wont get to see him play either.Including me.As far as I can tell,Pitts wont be playing Dallas.Maple Leafs and Sabres just have one match up as well and I really like those teams.I feel all teams should have the chance to play one another..... That will probably happen soon, but the league is trying to win back the "finge fans". Old school rivalries should do nicely.

I though it was pretty damn stupid on how Goodenow was the second highest paid players union rep from all major four sports.
Gene Upshaw (NFLPA) being the highest.
All the while the NHL being the bottom feeder of all four major sports in the USA.
Pretty damn stupid on the players agreing to his compensation package. He led them down a dark alley and now he is getting his.

I used to have a real good friend that I went to games with. Our favorites were Detroit vs Chicago. There was so much trash-talking in the stands that it almost didn't matter that there was hockey on the rink down below.

One particular game a group of Detroit-jersey-wearing punks were hassling a couple of B'Hawks fans. I stood up and said, "Hey, you know when the Dead Wings score a goal at the Joe, they throw octopus on the ice?"

The Wings fan said, "Yeah, what about it?"

"When the Blackhawks score a goal vs the Wings here at the UC, we throw a Wings fan on the ice!!!" and I shit you not, just a few moments later the horn sounds as Amonte scores a goal. We didn't hear from those pukes the rest of the night.

What a great season it would be to see Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, Boston, and the New York Rangers play the Wings regularly.
