I think that was her way of adjusting her actions. We all have a sense of balance in our way of thinking, at least normal people do. We all have a sense of justice. Just like when we say that all pedophiles should be hung by their testicles/clitorises.

I think suiced by fire is actually much more "popular" than we imagine. I've heard of people doing it before, but it was more to justify the pain that they felt emotionally.
