To buy something you have to drop your pants, bend over, and walk into the store backwards screaming "I'm here for my butt raping please!"

Plus Omaha is about 1 1/2 hours away, and that place has better stores than Sacramento. I used to live there. Lidgett Music in Council Bluffs is a great store.

I lived in Omaha recently...now Lincoln. But it's only 50 miles away. And Lidgett in CB is a decent store...when it's open. I'd drop in around 11 am during the week, and the place would be locked up!. No GC in Omaha or Lincoln...but there is Russo's Guitar Center in Omaha. Sadly, they are not a jackson dealer. I keep buggin' em though.

I'm a hick from the sticks, and I have to drive an hour to Mpls just to buy guitar strings. LOL
Actually, the Minneapolis/St Paul metro area has some decent stores, especially compared to other parts of the USA I've been to.

Newc - you are awesome. A true capitalist AND thinking outside the box. I never thought of that before. My problem would be I would buy everything I order. I'd go bankrupt in a month.

Washington DC is ok for stores because we have Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center, as well as Atomic Music and Action Music, which sell used stuff. There are three GCs in the area, and they pretty much drove all the other cool stores out of business or bought them out. Most of the other music stores in the area are more geared to selling your kid a clarinet or trumpet than to carrying stuff like Jackson.

Well, i live in Denver, home of drumcity guitarland.I get to see plenty of kick ass guitars any time i want!Jason gets a kick out of ordering custom shop jacksons. We used to go through my magazine collection to find cool 80's graphics to have done. The lynch subs, Amir Derakhs black jackson, dweezils madonna were all inspired by going through old mags.

We have a ton of pawn shops but i also live in the same town as CARRGUITAR, and i think his only job is hitting pawnshops and buying stuff to sell on ebay.Sometimes you get lucky.I found a strathead at a GC for cheap, a killer 1989 jackson dinky rev with a black and white graphic.Ebay makes those deals harder to find, they check ebay before they take the item in, so they know what its worth on the internet.GC,theres a few but they are only good for the used stuff, even then its overpriced.

I have been to enough towns to realize that thanks to drumcity, we have it pretty good here.

jwood - Atomic Music is in College Park, MD. Close to U of M. There are actually a ton of guitar stores in the MD/DC area. The problem is that these dealers usually don't have the "good stuff" in stock. I just found one dealer in the area that gives me very fair deals on what I want and I order most of my guitars through him. The drawback is I have to wait months for them to come in.

Re: My City Sucks

As far as I can work out, there are only about 4 stores that actually stock USA Jacksons in the whole of the UK. Because of the prices over here, those stores usually just have a couple of select series, rather than anything cool, unless it's used.

I see you guys bitching about GuitarCentre and while I have no idea what GC are like, I'd bet compared to stores here, I'd be impressed by the stock, if not the staff.....
