• Locking tuners - anyone tried these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=7340107535

I just bought a set of Sperzels from Subvamp (thanks bud! ) but I'm "Rain-Manning" over the plastic Keystone knobs - they HAVE to be on a Les Paul Standard or it's not a Les Paul Standard
Anyhoo, these are apparently distributed by AllParts, and have the Kluson design (which obviously my LPS has Kluson Deluxes), and the guy says the top of the post screws down to lock the string.
I've never seen them before, and he doesn't quite have a picture of the actual locking assembly, so I'm leery of them for that reason.

I know it's stupid to ask if a $60 set of AllParts locking Klusons is as good as genuine Sperzels, but ya never know

I've heard of those, when you put the string in and tune up, the posts lock the string in. I've not tried them personally, but I hear they're supposed to be pretty good. I'm only familiar with Sperzels or Schallers, but I may have to pick a set of these up for my LP Studio.
