Re: NHL free-agent floodgate

I'm mostly surprised by the Amonte move to Calgary, but with the way the CBA was structured it shouldn't be a big surprise. I'm sad to see him and Roenick broken up... again.

I can see that Philadelphia is beefing up it's D. Looks like if they can keep Roenick and Primeau healthy they could anchor a good O. Sad that LeClair is no longer a Flyer.

Looks like Sergei Gonchar may be filling the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi to Super Mario's Qui-Gon Jinn to the chosen one in Pittsburgh.

Mike not too smart nor a brain surgeon but I hope he realizes that Boston's 4 year 20 million offer is a better deal than Ken Dicks...er Hicks 5 year 17.75 million offer

Maybe Joe Thornton will end up in Detroit if Madonna goes to Boston

Bruins signed Brian Leetch today!
I was wondering why they left Gonchar go.

Still a lot of free agents out there but they look like they'll have a good club. I have a lot of respect for Ken Hitchcock, he's a great coach. I do think its still a little too early to talk about cups and tell who will be contenders... IMHO it won't matter how many big star players Philly gets if they have a swiss cheese netminder between the pipes

Now imagine if Pens get Kovalev back...

Kovalev, Mario, Syd, Malkin, Recchi.
(and let me pretend jagr and straka came back too)

Andre-Fleury backstopping.

wowza.
