Roenick to the Kings- just a rumor, but the Flyers are over the cap with the Forsberg signing so they need to shed some $$$.

Bruins signed Brian Leech to a one year contract. Not bad- maybe it will entice Thornton to sign up. We'll see.

I'd love to see Roenick back with the indian head on his chest!!! (*crosses fingers*)

Also, the Chicago media is starting rumors again that Cheli may be back. Though I doubt this one, because he's mentioned that if he doesn't sign with the Dead Wings, he'll sign with the AHL team in Detroit.

Would be cool to see JR back in Chicago- I have two sources saying he's heading to LA, though. Oh well.

Maybe Joe Thornton will end up in Detroit if Madonna goes to Boston

I have a feeling they won't be letting Thornton or Samsonov go anywhere just yet...

the stars can start to get younger sooner... after all 99 was a long time ago. i'm ready for the "new era" dallas stars to begin. hopefully modano will be part of it.

I'm really bummed the Pens didn't get Kovalev, but picking up Gonchar is a good move. Is Roman Hamrlik still unsigned? I'd like to see him in a Pens uniform.

I'm thinking the Pens next move will be a veteran goalie to split with Fleury. Logical choice as the defense still is not that stellar.

All I kept reading in the PG and the Trib was how the Pens were going to sign every big name free agent available. Guess not.

There's still hope that they will sign Domi.

i think the stars should check into Adam Deadmarsh and Brian Rafalski if the price tag can stay around 3-4 million range for them together sign them... if not let's go with what we have a drop the puck.

I'd like to see Roenick back in Chicago too Todd, he'll always be a Blackhawk to me anyway. He's a great player and with the increased number of inter divisional play, I'd get to see him against the Wings a lot....

Detroit is close enough for Cheli to return and leave his family in Detroit. Cheli's kids are big in youth hockey in Detroit and he won't move them if he does sign with the Blackhawks. I think he'll end up in Detroit for a reduced salary sort of like what Yzerman is getting but a little less.

The flippy-floppy Mo deal was funky. I guess he really isn't that bright. Neither are the Stars if you ask me.... a 5 year deal for a 35 year old coming off the worst season of his career. Mikey doesn't have the work ethic as other players to want to remain competitive in his old age. I'd rather they spent that money on a better player or give Mo a 2 year deal instead. I hope he proves me wrong because I dig the Stars, they are my 7th favorite team behind the original 6 and I live here and get to see every game

Chicago just signed Marty Lapointe to a three year contract ($7.2). Good riddance- he never panned out for the Bruins.

Scott Niedermayer signed with the Ducks.

I really hope that Dale Tallon (GM for the Blackhawks) will make a difference. Otherwise, I want him back in the booth with the best play-by-play man in all of hockey, Pat Foley.
