Cool

I was preparing for the worst since they had to do the repairs to the hull in space. I mean, this is the one time where it IS rocket science
Just because you can drive it doesn't always mean you can fix it, y'know?
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

I watched the landing this morning and had a sigh of relief... This whole mission was nerve racking

<font color="aqua">I know it costs a lot of money for this stuff but how cool is that!?! I've been into watching this stuff since I was a kid and I still can't believe we're to the point now where we can rocket into space and "fly" back.....just incredible... A couple of (IMHO) just amazing photos from STS-114 that might not have made the rounds:

Re: Discovery Lands Safely!

Had about 290,000 people watching the landing, 35 gig of outbound bandwidth

Here's a pic I thought was funny. Duct tape, don't leave earth without it

That was a makhshift hacksaw that they made to cut the tile filling on the bottom of the shuttle. Turns out during the space walk that they didnt need it as the filler just came out with a tug
