Saw Diamond Dave last night!

Wow....It was entertaining and a little bit sad. He jumped around a lot and put on a good show, but he had been drinking and screwed up a few verses. That, and I was on key singing along more than he was. I'll probably get flamed for this, but when I saw Van Halen in October, they were way better - Sammy's voice is so much better.

The guitarist for Dave wasnt that bad. He nailed all the solos and stuff, but didn't seem very inspiring or something. He was playing a green Wayne guitar, it kinda reminded me of the Green Meanie.

All in all, it was quite entertaining, and watching him hit on fat middle aged women was pretty damn funny!

I saw him on some late night show over a year ago with that guy with the green wayne. It might have been Carson Daly, Im not sure, but yeah he jumped around alot and sang lousy, kinda like when I saw VH in 1984, LOL! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Lousy Dave is still more entertaining than that tequila salesman. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] I remember seeing Dave on Carson Daly. Kind of like the heavy metal answer to Liberace. But still a legend nonetheless.

I've seen Dave 4 times in thast 6 years, Awsome show. BUT IT's the same show everytime, it's been the same show since 1983. Brain Rocks on guitar and all but at this point in their careers Sammy wins hands down

I saw him at Cowboys in Shreveport in 1993 or so, and I really thought it was going to be sad: but he put on a great show. I never got to see him with Van Halen (first Halen show I saw was the 5150 tour) and he just did a super job in 93.

The US Festival 1983...Dave standing there like a silly bastid just grinning ear to ear...in the middle of a song..... the band stops...Ed looks confused..

and he just shouts to the HUGE crowd in total DLR fasion..."I FORGOT THE FUCKIN' WORDS MAAAAAAAAAAAN....!"...

I have a story about DLR. My brother and I and a couple of friend decided to take a trip to Yosimite over the Thanksgiving Day holiday back in 85 0r 86.We got their late in the day and decided to hike a couple of miles up the mountain and set up camp. We were out in the middle the wilderness. After partying into the night, we awaken at like 6:00am by loud tunes and people yelling and screaming at each other. I was hungover and pissed off so I get out of the ready to kick some ass. I walk a short distence and who do I find shooting a video? You guessed it Diamond Dave! I don't remember the name of the song but it was the one with him rockclimbing. Anyway Dave was pretty cool and sat and talked with us on and off through out the day. It was November and cold as hell and here is this guy rockclimbing at 12000 feet at 6:00am. He said they wanted to capture the sunrise in the video.

diamond dave has a hell of a selection of cool tunes to play-i have a bootleg cocert on dvd of him a couple of years ago and his singing wasnt his strongest point but that doesnt matter as he one hell of a showmanHis tunes fucking ROCK!has the guitarist he uses now got long brown frizzly hair?if so its the same one from a few years back-well he had two then-on ryth guitar was a young jap geezer with long hair-tight band,and the crowd loved it--eat em and smile and skyscraper are up there with the best of them

I saw DD about 2 months ago at Kahunaville... put on a great show! He got a little fired up towards the end of the show, and talked a little too much, but all in all was a good time!
