[/ QUOTE ]Yeah, but your SoCal beaches are lucky; the spin of the planet tends to send Pacific hurricanes west into the ocean, or if they do go east it's usually in the south of Mexico or Central America. Right now Katrina is lined up to come in at the Mississippi/Louisiana state line, meaning Biloxi, about 60 miles east of the eyewall at landfall. The east side kicks the most ass so it looks like we're gonna get smacked. I'm battening down the hatches. And hey, if you use a generator for power after the storm, put it OUTSIDE so the fumes don't kill you. Death is bad, m'kay?
