We are trying around the clock to find out anything we can. One good note, my co-worker got word that his relatives got a message to someones answering machine to say that they made it, but had three feet of mud in thier house.

This is just so tragic. The reports I am seeing on the news and net are almost too horrific to be real. Best wishes to all who have been displaced by this storm and may you and your families remain healthy and safe.

I'm with you there, bro. I was finally able to manage some sleep last night. I had been up for two days straight worried out of my mind.
We have troops at Keesler AFB in Biloxi that we're worried about also. The entire base was devasted. Our old house there is gone.
I can't take the images anymore so I'm on a news fast except for here at the JCF and Keith's squadron.
Everyone is in our thoughts...

Its a strange feeling following a nasty ass hurricane that might be coming your way, We here in the Florida panhandle drew a huge sigh of relief when it was determined that we would not suffer the full brunt of this storm, but it just kills you to see what those poor people just 150 miles away have to deal with. Fate is a fickle thing, and we must realize that none of us are immune from something like this, be it a hurricane, tornado, earthquake, tsunami, etc. "Give blood and keep love between brothers" PT

Semi-update.... Ex-wifes house(in Slidell)...no longer exsists. She claims the same of my daughters house...but I'm still waiting for confirmation. Still no contact from my brother and his family, but have reliable reports of major damage in the area...and I stress major. Ex sister-in-law had contact with ex mother-in-law half way through storm. No contact since then. Of course my daughter(and her family) is still here with me and her mother managed to make contact in a few broken cell calls tonight. Still praying for my brother and others..
