Something's gotta happen soon. I have stopped driving my Toyota 4x4 to work (26 miles each way) because it only gets like 16 mpg. Now I am driving an Alero. Much better mileage it seems, but I am not sure of the mpg it gets. [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

[EDIT] Did a quick search and it says 32 mpg highway with the v6, which I have.

This is killing me especially... My 92 Trans Am gets about 11 mpg if Im lucky. $20 just got me half a tank... I remember about 5 years ago I could barely fit $20 of SUPER in my tank, let alone the regular Ive been using now.

mhhh...actually i'm not sure how much a gallon is, but our cars average around 8,5 liter per 100 kilometers (about 60 miles i think)...we've got a mercedes that gets around 7 l/100 km, a van that gets around 10 liter per kilometers, and a fiat transportation car (fiat ducato if anyone knows it....i don't know the english expression for this type of car right now. it's basically a smaller transportation car, not quite a full blown truck, but bigger (esp. higher) than a regular car) that also needs around 11 liter per 100 km

so you see, even with diesel engines it's damn expensive to drive, especially if you have to drive to earn money

I bet he is. Here in NC a lot of gas stations have run out of gas. The pipeline that feeds 90% of our gas supply ain't pumpin'. And Georgia is between us and the source of the problem.
