Re: HHI/Kustom suing Neal Moser and MCS
Here is a good one for taking someone's idea:
I worked for a company mounting wheels and tires for tractor-trailors. When the wheels and tires came off the bead set, it was up to the poor guy on the backside to catch these tires ( full with 125 p.s.i.)and roll them into a tire rack.
An outside contractor came in to do some maintance and said " I have an idea !!" He designed a pneumatic catcher that would lay the tire on its tread and all you had to do was roll it away.....no more tires bouncing up and tearing your head off.
After testing, he called the higher ups, they came with their lawyer in tow...he showed them how it worked....and the lawyer filed for a patent right on the spot. Poor schlep lost the rights to his design and never stood a chance. I know, there are all these questions and scenarios about " If he did this" or he may have a legal fight....he doesnt. He took the company to court several times. Because they had the patent applied for first, they won.-Lou
