Thanks guys! I probably won't be in touch much for awhile, but I'm okay.
And that article RacerX linked? She is my former next-door neighbor! I was recently living a couple miles further inland so I have some hope, but although I have secondhand news that my nephew, his mom and stepdad and his kids are okay, I can't reach anyonedown there directly. Seems the phones were sporadic down there and are now almost gone. The worst is not being able to reach people you love, and I grew up down there. Never thought we'd see one worse than Camille, but I was wrong...
God bless all of y'all for your support and please pray for the people hit by this disaster. Damage is bad here hundreds of miles inland but you could say within 80 miles of the coast is a warzone, so it's not just the coast that's blasted.
