I always wanted to know what that stands for ..thanks man!!

You notice that we don't eat the "cute" animals...well the majority of us anyway..

I never had rabbit or squirrel and they certainly don't sell that in any major supermarkets of my knowledge..

People freak out when a Dolfin gets caught in a tuna net..because they're "cute"..nodody gives a crap about the Tuna...oh no , to hell with them..beat em with a stick!!!

I think the epitome of all that is animal cruelty ..I saw these eskimos on Discovery ..walking up to a snow white fuzzy baby seal..the little fuzzy thing just lookin' up helplessly with these big black , round eyes..a little tear rolling down his cheek..and they beat it's brains out!!!

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.....

What they don't show you on those programs is how the baby seals taunt the Eskimos, mercilessly, day after day, in that bitterly cold wasteland. Finally, the Eskimo snaps and there just happens to be a photographer there to capture the moment and put the old media spin on the story.

I haven't had a steak in the longest freakin time Steak and a nice cold beer I've been on that low carb diet with 4 miles runnin a day to lose some extra weight, so I'm eating grilled chicken like 2x a day. I'm sick of it I tell ya.

when I was in training..I did what you are doing..but I ate whatever I wanted (within' reason) once a week..

then it's back to baked chicken and veggies most of the time.

No pop or junk food ..running and excersize..I lost 35 Lbs..to a very lean 185.

I don't even try anymore..I eat whatever I want whenever..my scale don't budge from 220..that's it..220 I will be!

Re: Good piece of beef?

No offense to Texas but I believe your best beef does come from the midwest. Warm long summers with lots of high quality grasses, cold enough winters to keep the parasites down, and they do pump em full of steroids at the feedlots. When ever I have fed out a beef here, I choose the fattest bull calf of the lot, lop his nuts off, and feed him corn and other grains for about three months (no steroids), I have em cut the steaks 1-1/8" thick, I always grab a big fat Porterhouse and slap it on the grill as soon as we get back with the beef, Absolutly friggin unreal how good it is, Its like the difference between a vine ripened tomatoe and a store bought green picked tomatoe. I may just be pickin one out, I think we're getting kinda sick of chicken and venison.
Het Bill whadda we don't eat cute things, this is what some of my current calf crop looked like 6 months ago,

American beef sucks. It all tastes like an old combat boot smells.

I like beef but I'm in Texas too so no problem wiht fresh choice cuts. Nothin like a nice T-bone or NY strip on the grill. I wish I could say I know what the cost are but I don't shop, the wife does, I just do the eatin and the payin

Kobe is good, but overpriced. I had a piece in NYC last year at a restaurant called 'Tao' and it ran me $85.00. I must say it was very tasty though! Marinated, thinly sliced flank steak rocks. Marinate it overnight in my secret sauce and hot damn you got a meal. Next is obviously filet mignon, but if it's from a supermarket, forget it! Best consult your local butcher or a local steakhouse like Ruth's Chris or Mortons. Next in succession would be a New York strip, t-bone, and then prime rib. Nothing past medium rare...sah...lurp! Anytime I hear someone in a restaurant tell their waiter they want their filet 'well-done' I cringe; much like what the chef does when he gets the order Patuey! Dude, I lost 50 pounds on Atkins. I ate all the damn steak I wanted to. Hell, Steak cooked in butter and covered with bacon and hollandaise sauce!!

Are you trying some low fat version of the low carb diet? Because I found the more fat I added, the more I lost. I have been living a low carb lifestyle since 1996.

The best steak I ever tasted was at a restaurant called "Cow on the Roof", In Tel-Aviv. The beef was from Argentina, which I found very ironic....on many levels.

I also had killer steak in Wyoming, New Mexico and Texas. The best store bought steak I ever had was from North Dakota.
