Re: Home Security Systems

I have ADT and have had no complaints. The main reason we have it is for the smoke/fire alarm.

Do I think their systems are overpriced, yes. In our previous house, I bought a DIY wireless system and then shopped around the best monitoring rates. It worked just as well as the ADT system I have now. It might have even been a little better as I could add on to it and tweak it without having to call ADT everytime.

[/ QUOTE ] A good bugurgler can get into any house or any car faster than you can say: "Gone in 60 seconds." Then you have the methheads that would wait 'till daylight. Breaking and entering is a misdemeanor in daylight and a felony at night. I lived in a neighborhood that was so quiet that you could back up a truck in the driveway; empty the house and break for lunch.

I have a home security system I really like and find easy to use. It offers advanced mobile and web features with an easy interface to monitor what's happening.

You can check on any open doors that should not be disturbed like the medicine cabinet, refrigerator or freezer, garage door or gun cabinet. I like the way you can adjust and monitor lights and thermostat levels, via Internet or your phone.

Check it out at Alarm.com - I sure like the security it gives me.

In the interest of full disclosure, do you happen to work for Alarm.com?

I mean come on man (or woman?). You sign onto a guitar forum just to reply to a 6 year old post about alarm systems?
