We may have finally found a drummer!

After what seems like ages of looking for a talented drummer around this place, my band (Deny This Flesh) may have found someone to round out the lineup. We are going to have an audition for him on thursday. We are all pretty stoked about, seeing as how we have been at this for nearly 6 months without a drummer. We have lots of killer material written and a good drummer would make it sound that much better. Keep your fingers crossed and pray that this guy works out.

I hope the drummer audition goes well. There seems to be a shortage of competent metal musicians in the Twin Cities, based on the number of bands with vacancies.

Ya it is tough to find dudes who want to play around the Cities. There are a handful of hardcore and metalcore bands around here who have some talent, but the lot of them sound/look/act/play exactly like everyone else. Our sound is pretty unique in my opinion, and it has been tough to find a guy who can handle odd time signatures. Most guys can handle straight up metal beats pretty easily, however you throw a 5/4 or a 3/4 in there and they start to scratch their heads. This person sounds like he is pretty versatile, so we are pretty optimistic about this one. The best thing if he works out, and once he settles in, we can finally start recording and playing live. I have not played live in nearly 2 years, so I am very much ready.

My brother moved to Denver for Culinary Arts school (Johnson and Wales) and he's been raving about this drummer he's found by jamming with this band down there...whom says he'd LOVE to drum for us when we record in the summer time.

damn, I have a VERY GOOD drummer to take whenever I want but I can't find a good singer, bass player and keyboard player. [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]
