[ QUOTE ]

Never shot the .357 Sig, but I am interested in trying it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Give it a try. Its supposed to have the same muzzle velocity as a .357 magnum...just in an auto. Basically, Its just a necked down .40 casing using a .357 round. -Lou

I need to update my photos (can't find em!)

But I got a 2005 US Military Academy Colt 1911 (full size stainless - I think it's really a Colt1991) custom engraving. No special features, but it was built through the custom shop so it's supposedly hand fitted to higher specs. Kind of afraid to shoot it as it has sentimental value.
-edit - pic lifted from gunbroker -

My bro just graduated from the USMA and got the engraved peacemaker. Won't be here until December.

My favorite shooters are a 10 shot S&W .22 revolver with a 6 inch barrel in matte blue or my parkerized Colt 1991 (slight custom - trigger, sear, hammer, beavertail, polished up inside).

      [/ QUOTE ]

Thats sweet too. I dont own any full size 1911's, but I have shot one on many occasions. Like butter for sure. Like plinking at 800 fps...LOL

ICant stand Beretta either. Well, after owning the Sig pro......I really dont like too much else.....except for a highly modded competition ready 1911 .45.-Lou

Sigs and Glocks. Ready to go, right out of the box. No break in, no issues, just point and shoot. But why have that fun when you can spend a grand on a CS Kimber and tweak it for 2 months? LOL

I used to own a Glock in .357. Owned it about 2 weeks. Its a great manstopper (or deer, if you are some of the guys I know), but good lord, its a bitch on the hands. When you shoot it on the range, you always get someone coming down asking "hey, what the fuck are ya shooting there, a muzzle loader"?

It does have a little more kick with this round. Nothing too crazy I don't feel ( Keep in mind, I have gorilla sized hands and come in at about 240 pounds ). Then again, I always volunteered to be on the receiving end of cadet taser training when it came around......hey, it paid double time.-Lou

              My latest acquisition:

HK P7K3 with all the conversions... 22LR/32ACP/9mmK

I STOLE it at $2200. It's worth twice that, really...

My main defense gun is a Walther P99 9mm. Before that it was a Sig P220.

My Ironwood Designs SG2000 in .17HMR that I have about $2200 into... Its a clone of a Walther WA2000 for a 10/22, and was pictured in the November or December 2003 issue of American Rifleman "What's New" section:

My gun collection would shock most of you. lol

Jack Naplam ..I got one too ..very very nice piece that will always go up in value..I got that and a S&W model 626 Classic hunter 8 3/8" barrel with full lug , unfluted cylinder..shoots a "tad" smoother than the Annaconda if that's believable..

with either gun I can put a box of shells into the size of a hald dollar at about 25 yards with open sights..yeah I'm pretty good.

                              Ruger GP100 .357, a Marlin 30-30 rifle, and a (can't remember the brand) .410 3-shot shotgun. I just recently parted with a Ruger 9mm, and a .44 Super Blackhawk.

Nice shooting. When I lived back in Virginia I worked at the NRA building, our company rented space above the museum. At lunch I would go blow off steam by putting a box of ammo down range at their indoor range under the parking gargage.

I couldn't do a 1/2 dollar but I could do a coke can. Everyone used to wonder why I was always taking portraits at the corpoate office.
