• Schmidt's Gay

All right, rented the Saturday Night Live Best of Adam Sandler tonight. The Schmidt's Gay is one of my all time favorite skits. I remember seing it the first time it aired and they used Van Halen's "Beautiful Girls." However, whenever they re-run it, and when I saw it on the dvd, they used some cheap ass, G.E. Smith and the Saturady Night Live Band rip-off of a Van Halen tune. Is it just me, or does anyone else think it was funnier with the VH track? I mean, come on, Van Halen let Pepsi use their song for the Clear shit. Look how long that lasted. WTF?!?

"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.

He was the best. People compare him to John Belushi, but honestly, I think John Belushi paled in Comparison. One of my favourites was the Matt Foley motivational speaker.

"I live in a van down the river!" classic shit!!!

That may have been the best spoof commerical they ever did, that or the insurance commercial with Sam Waterston. "Yes, we even cover Robot Attacks".

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

Thats a pretty strong statement.......As much as I liked Farley, Farley was only funny being an exaggerated version of himself. Big dumb fat sweaty guy, who could only do over the top and loud. Very funny none the less.

Belushi could do a million characters, and was sometimes funny without saying a word.

Suffice it to say, they were both awesome.

That's a great skit. I like the commercial spoof where the little girl is walking near a pond with Michael Jordan and she asks if he ever gets that, "not so fresh feeling."

I am derailing this a bit but wasn't the Joe Montana "I'll be masturbating" skit classic?

Oh fuck yeah, hilarious.......especially for the time period, who he was at the time, and what you did or did not discuss on television.

I've seen all those and they are great. One of the best skits EVER...The Sinatra Group parody, with Billy Idol as Sting, Chris Rock as Luther Campbell, and the late great Phil Hartman as Frank. That one is awesome.
