Haven't heard it yet. It's a nice tribute by Nickelback, but they still suck!

"Side Of A Bullet"

Uncle Sam taught him to shoot
Maybe a little too well
Finger on the trigger, loaded bullet
He hit the stage so full of rage
And let the whole world know it
Six feet away, they heard him say
"Oh God, don't let him pull it"

Please God, don't let him pull it
How could you put us through it?
His brother watched you do it

How could you take his life away?
How could you be so full of hate?
And when I heard you let him die
And made the world all wonder why
I sat at home and on my own,
I cried alone

And scratched your name
On the side of a bullet

And in the wake of his mistake
So many lives are broken
Gone forever from a loaded bullet
And no excuse that you could use
Could pull somebody through it
And to this day so many say
"God why'd you let him do it?"

How could you let him do it?
How could you put us through it?
His brother watched him do it

How could you take his life away?
How could you be so full of hate?
And when I heard you let him die
And made the world
all wonder why
I sat at home and cried alone
and on my own
I scratched your name
On the side of a bullet [X3]

Pretty cool song. You can definatly tell that's Dime's solo in the middle of it. Might pick the album up, but there are too many concerts comin up this month, bout $200 worth maybe, so gotta throw down $ for that first

I don't think the lyrics are that great.

Cool tribute though..Its the thought that counts.

as much as I think Nickelback blows otherwise, that's a cool thing to do and it is a cool tune.

It is a cool thing to do and I haven't heard the song so maybe it is good, but I haven't heard Nickelback do anything good yet. Those lyrics are absolutely terrible. They read like a highschool kid wrote them.

That is my bitch with all of their stuff, catchy riffs but lyrics that sound like Corky wrote them.

I'm not a big Nickelback fan either but the riff to this song is noticeably heavier than their usual stuff.

I don't have an MP3, but if you go to VH1.com I think they still have the whole album streaming

Corky HaHa

Seriously, it was a cool thing to do and I didn't dig a lot of their lyrics, but all of the stuff I write sounds like a Dr.Suess/cock rock album, so I can't be too harsh on them.

This isn't too bad, and the point of the lyrics weren't too bad.
A+ for a nickelback tune (since they aren't my thing), A++ cause the spirit is there.

So what bands do you guys listen that have better lyrics? Clearly none of you listened to 80's music. Ratt anyone? Dokken? Warrant?

I will have to agree tim and say that sometimes I like "mindless" music that just cranks. It gets/keeps me in the mood to work and as I know alot of of you do not like this band, I happen to love their sound and you can't deny the singers voice (well I guess you can as we all have our own opinions). It's a hell of a lot better than a lot of cookie monster vocals I'm hearing...

I think the lyrics are hideous. I would rather hear a Dime tribute that is positive, he deserves more than that.
