Well, I pulled the trigger on Center Ice last night. Since the home opener the wife has been very interested in the game. I'm a lucky man!

it's been a week now...
surprise team... thrashers
disappointing team... flames

it's early but this how i see it so far....
5.Canadians... Quietly building
4.Red Wings... Age hasn't caught them "yet".
3.Thrashers... Playing nobody's and it shows
2.Lightning... Goaltending holding up
1.Senators... Might not dip below the top three all year.

for fun that's my take... for whatever it's worth

my take so far.

Too many penalties makes for a boring game. 5 on 5 hockey is good, special teams hockey is bad. During the 1st period last night in Wings/Cannucks game, of a 20 minute period, there were only 7 minutes of 5 on 5 hockey.

Re: The Official 2005-2006 NHL Season thread

1. whats with the retarded penalties?
2. Way too many penalty shots.
3. With their roster, why are the pens sucking so hard?
4. Year of the rookies! Crosby, Ovechkin, Staal, Phoenif, ludqvist, etc, etc.
5. With all the new speed, why arent Kariya, Selanne, Hejduk, etc having monster stats yet?
6. now that D cant be dirty, is anyone else noticing "Norris Trophy"-calibur players taking stupid penalties?
7. I LOVE the stretch passing.
8. Why isnt Marian Hossa gelling with Kovalchuk?
9. NHL Center Ice was the best 130 bucks i've spent this year.
10. I thought the rangers were supposed to suck this year?

The Bruins are flat out awful- not a shred of character on the team. Thornton demanded big bucks at contract time, but he's nowhere near the dominating player he should be. Not on the ice and especially not in the locker room where a true captain ought to be. Sadly, there is nobody currently on the team with leadership qualities except Leech, who is likely a short-timer. Overall, though, with nary a Cup in over 30 years, you have to wonder why Sinden et al cannot put together a contender. Sad all-around for the Bruins faithful.

I am going to have to buy Center Ice, just can't get any hockey otherwise, just a couple Lightning games a week on the Sunshine Network, anyone know how much programming NBC plans to air once they start showing games?

I have been a die hard Bruins fan since I was a toddler. I remember my Bruins pajamas from back then (Red Sox as well LOL). I cannot believe the sad state of affairs my team is in right now. Makes me sick. Dammit Sinden .....DO SOMETHING to make it right!!!.....
I live on the edge of danger facing life and death every single day.....then I leave her at home and go disarm bombs.

FusionFarmer - Center Ice was the smartest thing I've done this year. WELL worth the 130 i spent. My only caveat is that its not in HD. My local Rangers and Isles are though.

Im surprice Patrice Bergeron hasnt caught fire yet.. I actually met some old known Bruins coach in the Hong Kong airport a few weeks ago.. MacArthur? He wasnt too happy with the Bruins either.
