• Pizza Delivery/Storage bags?

Anyone know where these can be bought new? Since I work nights, when I order a pizza I have to order it 2 or 3 hours before I can actually eat it, because the pizza shop usually closes about 9 or 10, so I'd like to get one of the bags they use that has the heating elements in it (the bag plugs into a wall socket to keep them warm).

I know they've got generic "Stay Hot" bags, and none of the ones I've found on Ebay mention whether they plug into the wall or not.

Also I need a Domino's Pizza hat to go with my Halloween costume
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Get a weekend job with them, and then help yourself to one of the bags before you quit...

Can't use a microwave while I'm wearing my tinfoil hat.

Eh, pizza gets fucked once it is microwaved. Too mushy, and the crust loses it's crispness.

Re: Pizza Delivery/Storage bags?

Cover cold pizza in a damp paper towel and nuke it for about 30 seconds or less to restore that "piping hot fresh-from-the-oven" goodness.
Won't give you a crispy crust, but it'll be hot and juicy like they just dropped it outta the oven at the shop.

A damp paper towel over just about anything in a microwave makes it heat better than a dry paper towel, and way better than those plate covers you can buy that are supposed to do the same thing.

Ziploc makes some Tupperware-type plates that are great for nuking as well - even with the lid partially cocked to let some steam out, the food is hot and moist. Rice, mashed potatoes, and spaghetti are the hardest things to nuke because of the starch, but a damp paper towel or the Ziploc plate makes them steamy-fresh.

Microwave frozen burritos (El Moterey!) in a sandwich baggie (put 2 in a baggie so they can share the love, but leave the bag open) for about 5 minutes (frozen solid) - 2.5 on either side, then dump them on a plate, cover with shredded cheddar or whatever, and nuke them uncovered for about 1 minute to melt the cheese (Velveeta Mild Mexican works good, and melts faster, though it's definitely creamier than shredded cheddar).

Nuked bread will stiffen up if it's uncovered, but you've got about 30 seconds between the time it's "just right" to the time it turns into a dough-hammer.

If you ever end up with excess grilled steak in the fridge overnight, dribble some water directly onto it (or pass it under the tap then shake off the excess), drop it on a plate, cover it with a dry paper towel, and nuke it for about 2 minutes (depending). Tastes like it just came off the grill, but more juicy.

Matt,

Let me check on the hat. My wife used to manage New England for Domino's corporate before she got smart and left. We should have some laying around somewhere..unless she already burned them all...
