Kevin, that's crap. Those sorts of myths and generalizations really obscure the true meaning of mojo and vibe.

Mojo is tone magic that is stored in the tone capacitor and only released when a player has a certain vibe. And vibe is that surly look on a player's face who thinks he is way better than he really is.

Sheesh. You'd think being an admin you'd know these sorts of things.

To me mojo is the perceived notion or thought about a certain item that has been assoicated with a greater thing.
Lenny - SRV, Blackie - EC, etc. Mojo is the perceived greatness of those guitars and path they burned with the corresponding axe wielder.
Little that we know that those guitars will sound like shit on our hands.

Vibe is the perceived coolness of a guitar, doesn't have anything to do with playability, tone or talent of the axeman. But that thing sure has vibe and you sure looks cool strung on your shoulder.

I think Mojo is the stored energy imparted into a guitar from previous owners who have played, labored and suffered while in posession of the instrument. Whether they are famous or not. Energy is energy.

Vibe is just the feeling you get as a result of your personal mojo jiving with said mojo-fied instrument.

Not all peoples personal mojo will jive with just any mojo-fied instrument. Your mojo just may not jive with a particular instruments mojo. This would be a sort of non-cognative dissonant interpersonal mojofication issue actually.

So.. if mojo doesn't jive with other mojo they cancel each other out and the guitar becomes mojoless?
What if the mojo's do jive? Does the amount of mojo double or is there another mathematical formula we should be discussing? Let me put it another way..
Lets say that Zack Wylde got a strat from Eric Johnson that is full of EJ mojo. The EJ mojo and the ZW mojo would cancel each other out: ZWm + EJm = 0
Now.. what if Zack Wylde got a Les Paul from Randy Rhoads that was full of RR mojo. Would the formula for calculating mojo be: ZWm + RRm = 2 (Mojox2)
