Trojan.StartPage won't delete

Hey guys, i i've just down a complete scan of my computer for virus', i still have adware and a Trojan.StartPage virus that will not delete. I've followed the instructions provided on the symantec site but still it remove it. What am i doing wrong? or what can i do to get rid of it?

Try booting your computer in safe mode. There is a good chance it wont delete because when you start up windows, it runs automatically. Booting your computer in safe mode allows only a few programs to run.

FYI if you have system restore turned on you will need to turn it off also ..
