    there have been rumors about OSX86 for years actually. i hope they package it independently for use on non-macintel machines.

        I think, for the first year anyway, Apple will do their best to prevent it from running on non-Apple hardware.
        But as we've already seen, it would be a waste of time.

        My guess is they will not stop it from being installed on non-Apple hardware, but they may not support it.
        Like I need their help anyway. It's just a repackaged BSD installation anyway. They gave it a pretty GUI and tweaked under the hood a bit. Almost all the under the hood stuff is open source, so getting drivers should be easier once the Intel switch is done. We will have the entire Linux community to draw from for drivers and apps.               um, yes [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] would have to be a quad xeon setup. that person has some major bucks invested in their pc.
