I just loaded a new one into an external enclosure and kicked off the format process. It's at 33% and the enclosure isn't quite hot enough to toast marshmellows but it's getting there (and way past what I'm used to with other drives). Normal?

Just used two Hitachi SATA's in a system I built. Didn't notice them getting too hot but really didn't check. They seem to be working well.Comment
