hi there
alright, this is the thing. i've been sick for about one week now, but the last two days were the worst. quite a bad cold, so nothing really serious - lots of headache, and an overall dizziness (sp?) included.
the thing is, my drummer just told me that our next show (friday evening, so 2 days from now on) will be both filmed and recorded, possibly (or better said) likely for some live bonus footage, maybe even a bonus dvd with the whole concert for our next record. perfect timing, it seems
obviously i'll have to do my very best, and thats quite difficult if don't get any better until friday.
any recommendations and advice?
another point is that i tend to be more of an entertainer on stage rather than a musician, meaning that i don't give a crap if i hit all notes 100% correct as long as the stage show is good. with an attitude like that, having a show both recorded and filmed can be quite embarassing fact is, people out there don't notice any small clams, but they do notice your stage presence. on a recording those small clams CAN be heared, though. so my question is, what do you think should i focus on, stage presence or mistake free performance? i'm leaning towards stage acting, as there's always the possibilty to edit an audio recording
thanks in advance
