This show wont happen with Eddie being the way he is now. Ed is a hopeless alchoholic right now. No way anyone is going to put him on tv, it would be a disaster. Yeah maybe 1 or 2 good nights, but eventually it would all fall to pieces with him. I've always liked VH, and don't buy into all that DLR vs. Sammy crap. I enjoy tons of stuff from both eras. Saw them several times on the last tour and they had a singer, a dam good one that would give guys in their 20's a run for their money. The reason they dont anymore is that Ed cannot be dealt with. I went to 3 soundchecks last tour. He ranged from coherent(drunk thogh) and likable to berating fans in an over the top rant over a bracelet, that made everyone there uncomfortable. Anybody who would join the band now, would be complete puppet. As was stated in an earlier thread, when you have a drinking problem for years and years it does something to you, it changes you. You aren't the same person you were in your 20s and 30s, when if you stopped drinking you could bounce back a little easier.

Well until the show, when you mentioned INXS the reply was almost always "Oh, that band who's singer hung himself while jerking-off?" Time will tell exactly what is in store for INXS, but the show brought them out of obscurity and back into the spotlight.

They were a pretty cool band back in the day. Not "metal" enough for me, but there music was guitar driven for the most part.

But you know, if they needed the money, then good for them. I'm glad they were able to come together and have one more payday as INXS.

If VH needs the money, oh man [img]/images/graemlins/eyes.gif[/img] I think that was a big motivating factor behind the reunion tour. Not necessarily for Ed but maybe for Alex.

Thats the first thing I thought of too...Even if he is sober he has the missing chunk of tounge that makes him hard to understand. I just hope they don't have Dave Navarro this time...I'll puke if I hear him say shit like..."Nirvana songs are sacred"...Fuck off! I don't see Navarro getting up there and jamming VH tunes either...At least not with any due justice.

It will be entertaining for sure.
