    Re: Attention rpg players...

Uematsu's own band put out a pretty damn good metal cd themselves. Black Mages is the name of his band (he plays keyboard of course). They do an awesome hard rocking version of my favorite video game music piece of all time, Dancing Mad from FF6. They have two cd's and a DVD out now I think.

Now that is one thing I would really like to get into.. a metal video game tribute band. There are so many good songs out there waiting for some metal dudes to come metalize them. I recorded a version of bloody tears from the castlevania games a few years ago. It is pretty sweet. Any of you MN jcfr's want to get in on a vg metal band?

There is this guy who is doing the entire castelvania 3 soundtrack in metal style (and this guy is REALLY good). I forget the website but I think I can find it when I get home. I'll post it here if I can find. He did a death metal version of a Castelvania tune also.

I tried doing the end boss theme from final fantasy mystic quest, as well as a few others. I usually can translate most of it to guitar, however most of the time I end up getting frustrated because I can not program drums, bass, or keyboard. I guess I feel like there is only so much I can do with a guitar. I would love to play in a video game metal band!!!
