I can't get home.

We shuttered up, and took all the projectiles in from the yard, then ran to Miami, where we got kicked in the nuts anyway. My sister in law here in Miami lost every tree in her back yard but one.

BUT, my sister in law got some power this AM, now we just can't get gas to go home.

I'm told that we lost the only tree that we care about, a big nice old native one in the front yard (the whole focus of the front of the house) plus a couple of more in the back, but without any of them hitting the house. So there is no power or water, but it sounds like we didn't have any real damage.

This cold front is fucking awesome, it is 65 right now, I'd just really like to go home and start cleaning up. See if my cat and fish are okay. I'm sure the house and toys are fine.

Not bad, just a pain. Better a pain than any real pain. You guys keep Chuk in mind, too, he will probably be without power for a while, too.

I'll post some pics of what I find when I can...

Power was restored about noon today, 10/27. Still have some trees down that I need to cut and clear, and have to get the roof looked at (missing an assload of shingles), but the worst is over I think.

Glad to see Chuk is okay, good luck with the house bro...
